Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers understand rugby’s laws, roles, formats, match patterns or club customs in a precise and lively way. Send proposals through the Contact page; please do not submit a full draft unless requested.
What makes a strong pitch
Suggest one clear subject, the reader question it answers, the main points you would explain and why the topic merits a focused piece. Pitches should offer a distinct angle rather than repeat a basic definition readers can find in a glossary.
Clarity and care
Write for curious readers, not only experienced supporters. Explain specialist language, distinguish rule from interpretation, and flag competition-specific context. We do not accept unsupported claims, disguised promotion or material that presents personal opinion as settled fact.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include a working title, a short outline and any relevant writing samples or background. A proposal is not a promise of publication; we will consider fit, accuracy and reader value.
The match is easier to read when you know where to look
We explain rugby in plain language, tracing the choices behind the action rather than asking readers to memorise jargon.
